Emily Mattera

Emily joined the Harvard Recreation team in November 2021 as the Fitness Coordinator. She manages many of the rec programs on campus, including the personal training program. Prior to Harvard, Emily was the Recreation Coordinator and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Rhode Island College. 

Emily has received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Exercise Science, is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (NSCA-CSCS) and is a USA Weightlifting Coach (USAW). She has experience in personal training, group fitness, coaching CrossFit and training athletes of all ages and skill levels. 

Outside of work, you can find Emily in the gym, traveling with her husband, watching the Patriots, or exploring all that Boston has to offer.
