1. Are mid- and full-size lockers padlocked until rented?
To ensure members have better access to larger spaces, we are opening all full-size lockers are open day use. If members wish to purchase a full-size locker, they will have the option to do so, starting August 15th. We have 18 full-size lockers in the women's locker room and 19 in the men's locker room, with 3-4 available for purchase in each room depending on demand. Full size lockers that remain unsold, will also be available for day use. We've added an additional 24 half-size lockers to the women's locker room and 20 to the men's locker room, with similar purchase and day-use options available.
2. Can unrented lockers be accessed by others?
Yes, unrented lockers can be accessed by others, just as long as their personal belongings are removed by the end of use. Please be sure to bring your own lock, or you can purchase a lock from the Front Desk for $5.
3. What is the process for renting a locker?
To rent a locker, select the desired size and visit the Membership Office starting August 15th, when lockers go on sale. Lockers can be purchased for a semester, academic year, or annually starting May 2025. Upon purchase, you will receive a Harvard Recreation combination lock, which will help us identify reserved lockers versus those available for day use.
4. Are there any fees associated with locker rentals? Yes, fees remain similar to pre-renovation rates, but now reflect the larger locker sizes:
- Half-Size Locker Prices: $55 for a semester, $100 for the academic year, $120 annually (from May 15, 2025).
- Full-Size Locker Prices: $65 for a semester, $110 for the academic year, $130 annually (from May 15, 2025).
5. Are there lockers available for day use, and if so, which ones?
Any locker that does not have a Harvard Recreation black combination lock is available for day use. Please remember to remove your items by the end of the night, or they will be removed by our staff.
