Welcome to the Recreational Tennis Program at Harvard
University!
All members of the Harvard community and their families are
invited to experience tennis at Harvard.

indoor courts ( Murr Center) and 18 outdoor courts ( Beren
Center), lockers and shower

Tennis clinics, private and semi-private tennis lessons
are taught by Harvard's Tennis Professional, Michael Mercier. Michael
Mercier is known for his international and High Performance
Coaching and training. He is certified by the United States
Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and by Pat Etcheberry
fitness and tennis training, and the United States Racquet
Stringers Association (USRSA).

Michael Mercier, of Beverly, Massachusetts, was named
Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Member of the Year for the
State. This award is presented to a PTR member in the United
States who has shown dedication and diligence in promoting and
supporting tennis and PTR.
PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching
professionals with more than 14,000 members in 117 countries.
It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members
of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating,
certifying and servicing tennis teachers and coaches around the
world in order to grow the game.
