This class is suitable for absolute beginners!

Skills covered include: submerging the face underwater; sculling hands; floating on the front and back; flutter kick; water safety principles; and an introduction to treading water. The class will take place in shallow water, with the exception of times toward the end of class when students will have the opportunity to practice treading water in the deep end with flotation devices. Because we are starting with beginner skills, this class would not be a good fit for students already comfortable swimming laps in deep water. We look forward to introducing you to swimming!
