Overview: The Harvard Cricket Club (HCC) was
originally founded in 1862. In 2011, the club was reinvigorated
when Harvard's Athletic Department approved cricket as a club
sport. HCC is home to several enthusiastic cricketers from all
skill levels, nationalities and backgrounds. Having met regularly
in the 2011/12 season, HCC was accepted as a member of American
College Cricket in 2012 (more details here: http://americancollegecricket.com/2012/06/06/harvard-returns-to-cricket-after-85-yrs-joins-american-college-cricket/).
At the start of the 2012/13 season, HCC is preparing for the
northeast regional tournament of American College Cricket (ACC)
held in New York. If successful, the club has the opportunity to
progress to the televised national tournament in the spring.
While the club will convene in early September to select a squad
for the year’s ACC tournaments, all cricket enthusiasts are
welcome to join our bi-weekly practices. Please contact Ibrahim
Khan (ibrahimkhan@college.harvard.edu)
for further information or to simply introduce yourself.
