Building Speed and Endurance in Freestyle: Section
I (75 min class): SOLD OUT
This fun and challenging workout class is designed to introduce the
swimmer to drills and swim sets that will build efficient strokes,
speed and endurance. Fins are recommended (instructor will
advise). Maximum participants: 12.

SEAL Swim Training (60 min class)
This workout class will challenge you to master combat side
stroke, freestyle, and body dolphin. Fins are required
(instructor will advise).

Intermediate Swim (60 min class) SOLD

This fun class is for swimmers with basic strokes and deep water
comfort. Drills and swim sets will help refine your strokes.
Fins are recommended (instructor will advise). Maximum

I.M. (Individual Medley) Swimming in the A.M.: (60
min class) Enjoy a fitness swim workout while
showcasing your competetive strokes with Individual Medley
swimming: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle.
Learn innovative drills and training techniques to wake up your
swim regimen and start the day off strong! (Must be able to swim
100 yards free, 50 yards backstroke, 50 yards breaststroke.
No butterfly experience required.)

Treading Water/Introduction to Freestyle: Section
I (60 min class): SOLD OUT
The principal objective of this fun class is to help participants
pass the Harvard University Swim Test (100 yds). Participants
will gain confidence in their ability to float and survive in deep
water by mastering skills first in shallow water. Once
comfort is achieved, we will start our stroke work with freestyle.
Fins are recommended (instructor will advise). Maximum
participants: 8.

Flip Turn Fundamentals: (60 min class)
This fun class focuses on teaching swimmers a simple step-by-step
process to efficient and elegant flip turns for freestyle and
backstroke. The swimming level expected of participants
is “intermediate.” Fins are recommended
(instructor will advise). Maximum participants: 10.

Triathlon Swim for Beginners: (60 min
class) If you are thinking of signing up for your first
triathlon, this fun and challenging workout class is for you.
We will cover swim training fundamentals, proper stroke technique,
building stamina and speed evenly, injury prevention, key race day
strategies, transitions, drafting, and sighting. Maximum
participants: 12.

Triathlon Swim for Intermediate Swimmers: (60 min
class) combined into beginner class
Pre-race prep is essential for distance swimming. This class is
designed to breathe life back into those workouts and get you into
great shape for your next triathlon. You will learn to be more
competitive with special attention given to time/split work,
efficient movement in the water, strategies for pack swimming,
proper refueling and injury prevention. Isn’t it time to
start thinking about your next Tri?

Intermediate Swim: The Longer Workout: Section I
(75 min class) This fun swim workout class is for swimmers

Focus on Breaststroke (60 min class)
This fun class is for swimmers with rudimentary strokes and deep
water comfort. Drills and swim sets will help refine your
breast stroke. We will also learn starts and turns (the pull
out). Maximum participants: 8.

Intermediate Swim: The Longer Workout: Section II
(75 min class): SOLD OUT!
This fun swim workout class is for swimmers with basic strokes and
deep water comfort. Drills and swim sets will help refine
your strokes. Fins are recommended (instructor will

SCUBA DIVING CLASSES AT THE MAC SOLD
OUT!
Classroom and pool portion of SDI Open Water SCUBA certification.
Course materials supplied. Class meets on Tuesdays, February
12- April 9th (no class March 19), 6:00-10:00pm at the Malkin
Athletic Center. February 12 will include a 200 yard swim in swim
suit only. On February 19, you will enjoy your first SCUBA in
the pool. All equipment will be supplied for the pool. Cost
is $275.00 per person. Register online. Direct all
