The Harvard Recreational Squash Program and Membership Options
The recreational squash program is available to Harvard
University students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their guests by
paying an annual membership fee. Customers have three options
for playing squash at Harvard:
- By purchasing an Athletic Membership* members can play squash throughout
the year at the Hemenway Gym and QRAC Gym.

By purchasing an Athletic Membership and the Murr Racquet
add-on* members can also play squash at the Murr Center.

By purchasing a Friend of Harvard Sponsor Murr Squash
Membership. Any Harvard affiliate with a valid Harvard ID and
current Athletic Membership is allowed to sponsor up to three (3)
non-Harvard individuals for a Murr Tennis Membership. To
purchase this membership, you must come in person with your Harvard
sponsor to the Athletic Ticket Office.
*If you are an Alumni or if you would like to purchase a Family
Membership or Friend of Harvard Sponsor Membership you must come in
person to the Harvard Athletic Membership Office: Open
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. (617) 496-1585. The membership office
is located in the Malkin Athletic Center, 39 Holyoke St.
Cambridge.
Squash at
Hemenway Gymnasium
The online squash court reservation system is LIVE!
Court reservations must be made online. Making an online
reservation can be done in just a few simple steps! Reservations
can be made using any computer including the new kiosk located in
the Hemenway lobby.
First time users:

a Harvard email address)

You will receive an email from "Harvard". Click on the
link in the email to activate your account.

Squash Policy Rules

Signups are for 1 HOUR.

Reservations can be made online, 72 hours in advance.

Only one 1-hour time slot may be reserved per person per
day.

The online reservation system only applies to the courts at
Hemenway Gymnasium.

We expect that you will cancel your slot if and when you decide
you no longer wish to play at your reserved time.

If the court is vacant at 10 minutes past the hour the
reservation is forfeited. At that point the court is first
come, first serve. In the event the court is not reserved,
all members can share the space with each other until someone
arrives to play squash.
To cancel a reservation:

In the pop-up window, click on the little pencil and paper
icon.

Click "Delete reservation".
Squash Facility Policies

A Harvard affiliate must accompany all guests at all times

No dark soled shoes are allowed on the courts
-
Children age 16 and under are not allowed on the squash courts
unless participating in a supervised racquet activity.

Running, yelling, or other disruptive behavior will not be
permitted.

The Harvard University Department of Athletics is not
responsible for lost or stolen items. Please check the lost
and found located located at each facility.

The squash courts are scheduled with Harvard University
intercollegiate teams and students receiving priority. During
the academic year, the Murr Center squash courts are closed for
varsity practice Monday - Friday 3:30-7pm.

Court use is subject to availability and all schedules are
subject to change without notice.

The Department of Recreation reserves the right to revoke patron
memberships if rules and regulations of the facility are not
followed.
Reservation Policies

Members are allowed to reserve Murr squash courts up to three
(3) days in advance by calling (617) 495-3454.

Members are allowed only one (1) prime time booking per day
(Monday-Friday 6:30-11pm, Saturday and Sunday)

Undergraduates, GSAS, and Extension School Degree Students can
reserve up to three (3) days in advance at no cost.
