*Orientations will be held on Wednesdays at 5:30pm during all months.

***Yearly memberships run from date of purchase for 1 calendar year (example: a membership bought on June 15, 2013 will run through June 15, 2014)

Sailing Adult Camps - $100 per week

June 18-21 (Tuesday-Friday, 5:30-8 each day)

June 25-28 (Tuesday-Friday, 5:30-8 each day)

Private Lessons

Private lessons will be available starting April 16, 2013. They will be offered on Wednesdays 1pm-5pm, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 1pm and 2pm. Instruction is by appointment. Please email Bern Noack at bcnoack@fas.harvard.edu or call (617) 495-3434.

Orientations for new members to be shown how to rig are held every Wednesday at 5:30pm. During the summer these orientations will also be held on Saturdays at 2:30pm.

To Sign-Up

To purchase a recreational sailing membership or sign up for a sailing camp, please visit the Sailing Center (45 Memorial Drive, Cambridge) during operating hours. Memberships can also be purchased at the Murr Center Fitness Room (65 N. Harvard St. Boston), Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm.

*Swim Tests

Any affiliate wishing to join the sailing program must first successfully complete the Harvard Swim Test at the Blodgett Pool or Malkin Athletic Center Pool.

The Harvard Swim Test consists of 100 yards of any stroke except the backstrokes and must show good forward progress (i.e., swimmers are not allowed to stop, hang on the lane lines or touch the bottom) in order to pass.

You must be a current Harvard ID holder or an affiliate with a Harvard Athletic membership card in order to gain access to the Blodgett or MAC Pools to take the Swim Test.

Swim Tests will be given during regular hours of operation at the Blodgett and MAC Pools until 15 minutes prior to closing time. (You must show the lifeguard your Harvard ID, prior to taking the test.)

Lost Swim Test cards will not be replaced.
