Daniel Oshima Wins National Collegiate Judo Championship
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Harvard senior
Daniel Oshima '10 won the National Collegiate Judo Championship at
the 73kg division in leading the school’s Judo team to a
third-place finish in the College division.
Oshima was joined in the competition by Amaury Berzin ’12,
who took third place I the novice division.
A native of Somerville, Mass., Oshima was voted the Outstanding
Male Competitor from the entire field – one year after
finishing in third place in his division while his older brother,
Michael Oshima '09, won a national title in his division.
Oshima finished in front of Indiana’s Addison Webb and San
Jose State’s Diogo Borges while Berzin finished behind Iowa
State’s Vincent Junior and Ball State’s Jonathan Tu in
the 81kg novice division.
