During each semester we also offer progressive Specialty
classes, with each week's instruction building on the prior
classes. These classes include MTVdance, Meditation, Ice skating, Scuba
Diving, Swim Classes, Fit Mamas, Ballet, Salsa & many more
offerings that are listed below.

Registration Information:
Register for courses online between
Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 25th
Late registrations will be accepted
(after 4/25) if space is available, however there will be a $10
late registration penalty for all registrations on & after
4/26/13.
Early registration is encouraged as
space is limited. Course fees cannot be prorated.
Refunds are granted at the
discretion of Harvard Recreation & only prior to the
registration deadline (4/25).
Minimum of 10 participants required to offer each course.

MTV Dance: CANCELED
Designed to be fun, educational, mind opening and a great
workout! Through a combination of hip-hop, funk, break
dancing moves, and a wide variety of music, we will explore the
origins of hip-hop, where it is today and where it is going in the
future. With a flexible class structure, this class is for
individuals with all levels of dance experience.

Get Fit! Boot Camp CANCELED
No matter your ability level or experience with exercise,
everyone has their own fitness goals. This interval style workout
is packed with calorie burning cardio, muscle toning conditioning,
and lengthening dynamic stretching to bring something for everyone
with options to further customize for individual needs. In addition
to increasing coordination, balance, endurance, and strength,
you'll start your summer looking and feeling more fit!

Running For Health: FULL!
There's no questioning the benefits to
your cardiovascular system during a good run, but did you know that
weight bearing exercises like running can also help prevent
osteoporosis? Since running can be done almost anywhere/anytime,
why not add it into your workout routine? In this class, we will
focus on integrating running into a walker's routine, as well as
taking the runner's routine to the next level with endurance &
speed work. Whether you're a walker or a runner, if you're looking
to push your limit just a little further, then lace up & join
us as we run for our health! 6 week program

Outdoor Bootcamp:
Give your day the pump it needs with this fast-paced,
action-packed, high-energy class that combines sports drills with
resistance training. This class requires no previous training or
experience. Whether a beginner or advanced, this class is
guaranteed to push participants to achieve their goals. The class
includes flexibility, plyometrics, abdominals, agility training,
core strengthening, sprints, and overall conditioning.
It’s like a double shot of espresso!

TRX Meets Pilates:
TRX &Pilates get together for a fast and flowing 45 minute
core-building workout. Experienced Pilates teacher MJ Kenny,
cooks up a magical blend of a TRX workout integrated with Pilates
Method exercises & cues. If you know you like Pilates but want
to take it a little higher, then experience a whole new level by
adding suspension-training. If you’ve tried TRX, now
try getting a little deeper into what we love about
suspension-training: the core & balance aspects
which make it so challenging & powerful. This is such a
great way to build core balance and strength!

Classes

NO partner required, but preferred. However, if your
partner is a non-member, the cost for non-members is $70 for the 8
week session.

Ballroom/Wedding Dance: Are you
attending a wedding or getting married? Then you absolutely
need to know how dance with a partner! Impress your friends
and family with your skills! This class offers skills in fox
trot & tango. Participants will learn to lead &
follow a variety of steps, rhythms & tempos that will lend
themselves nicely to any social dance occasion. For beginner
& intermediate dancers.

Latin Dance (SALSA/TANGO):
In this class participants will learn the basic steps, turns &
rhythm of Salsa. Tango is introduced to enhance leading &
following skills & give balance between the more reflexive
