Personal Training

Discover the benefits of Harvard's Personal Training services. A certified personal trainer will customize individual training programs that will help you achieve your health and fitness goals. The individualized sessions provide direction, motivation, and program adjustments as needed. Personal Training services are available at both the Malkin Athletic Center located at 39 Holyoke Street as well as Hemenway Gymnasium located at 1515 Massachusetts Avenue. The Malkin Athletic Center has 3 rooms dedicated to weight lifting as well as a private studio exclusively used for personal training sessions.

Follow these simple steps to get started with Personal Training:
1. Complete the Personal Training Request form. Forms are available at the front desk of the Malkin Athletic Center and Hemenway Gymnasium. You can complete the form in person and leave it at the facility you wish to train at. The form is also available online. Simply upload the PT Request form, complete the form and fax, email or drop it off in person to the facility you wish to train at.

Once the form is submitted the Fitness Manager will be in touch with you to further explore your fitness goals. During this time the manager will assign you to the trainer who best suits your fitness goals, preferences and schedule. If you have a trainer in mind that you would like to work with please indicate that on the form. The manager will then schedule a 30 minutes consultation for you with the trainer you are assigned to. The consulatation serves as a goal setting session and is complimentary. At the time of the consultation you will decide how many sessions you wish to purchase. We accept cash, crimson cash or credit cards. No refunds.  Then the trainer will schedule your first workout and you will be ready to starting achieving your fitness goals.

A variety of personal training packages are available to best suit your needs including:
1 on 1 training, Buddy training & Small Group Personal training packages.
                                                                          
For Buddy Training & SGPT simply recruit a buddy or group of 4-10 friends with similar fitness goals, fitness level and schedule to train along with you.

A commitment of 5 personal training sessions is required for Small Group Personal Training.
All PT sessions are 55 minutes in length.

Additional Services

 Fitness Assessments
Body Composition Assessment: $35.00
This 30 minute session with a Personal Trainer includes weight, measurements and skin fold testing.

Fitness Testing:$40.00
This 35 minutes session with a Personal Trainer includes cardio-respiratory fitness (3 minute step test), upper body endurance (push up), abdominal endurance (crunch), flexibility assessment (sit & reach) .

Total Assessment:$50.00
This 60 minute session includes the Body Composition and Fitness Assessments.
