Sirad Abdilahi entered the wellness and fitness industry
in order to cultivate and share the tools to give the body and
mind a lifestyle alternative to stress. Her ultimate goal is
to guide and support each client to reach their full potential in
a natural physical transformation. Offering an optimal balance
of flexibility, strength and cardiovascular fitness training
through a varied approach on land or water, Sirad's specialties
include: yoga, sports performance, swim training and aquatic
therapy. Sirad holds the following certifications: NASM
Certified Personal Trainer, Performance Enhancement Specialist; AEA
Aquatic Fitness Instructor; American Red Cross Water Safety
Instructor; Yoga Sutra 200hr Yoga Instructor; TRX instructor; AL
Pre & Post Natal. She is currently taking clients at
the MAC & Hemenway.
Kerry Antunes is a part time trainer at Hemenway
Gymnasium. She holds a BS in Athletic Training/Physical Education
& a MEd in Sport Administration. She is a
Certified Athletic Trainer (NATA), Certified Strength &
Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and Certified Corrective Exercise
Specialist (NASM). Kerry specializes in injury preventi on,
rehabilitation, sports conditioning and overall fitness/weight
loss. In addition to Personal Training Kerry holds a variety of
Group Exercise certifications including TRX Training, TRX
Sportsmedicine Training, Schwinn Indoor Cycling, SCW Group Fitness
and SCW Aqua Fitness. With over 10 years of experience in the field
of athletics & fitness, Kerry is committed to helping her
clients achieve their goals and be successful. is

Alex Carras is a part time personal trainer at the
Hemenway Gymnasium. He has earned a B.S. degree in Health
Science/Exercise Science. He is a Certified Personal Trainer (AFAA)
and is pursuing a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
certification from NSCA. Alex has a strong athletic background in
baseball and basketball. He is also an Assistant Strength Coach at
Mike Boyle's Strength and Condtioning. He specializes in strength
and conditioning and rehabilitation for athletes. He also has a
variety of experience in training all different age and fitness
levels. Alex has developed a broad range of training styles to fit
every type of fitness goal, and strives to get clients moving
better and feeling healthier.
Mike Dingley is the Assistant Fitness
Manager at the Malkin Athletic Center. He holds a Bachelors degree
from Ithaca College with a minor in Exercise Science. Currently
Mike is certified by NSCA, CSCS, NASM PT and AFAA. One of Mike's
clients is the current Miss Rhode Island and is in the running for
Miss America. Mike specializes in helping clients work toward
perfection and taking them to the next level. Mike is
available to train clients at the MAC.
Kate Doherty is the Assistant Fitness Manager for the
Malkin Athletic Center. She earned a BS degree in
Exercise Science with a minor in Dance. Currently Kate is a
certified personal trainer by the National Academy of
Sports Medicine. She is certified also certified by Maddog
Spinning, Turbo Kick , SCW Pilates and AFAA. Kate enjoys dance and
outdoor activities and specializes in dance movement and pre and
post natal training. She is available to train clients at
the MAC.
Mike Doyle is a full time Personal Trainer at Hemenway
Gymnasium and the Malkin Athletic Center. He is an AFAA certified
Personal Trainer, Suffolk University graduate, and is pursuing a
graduate degree in Law. Mike has played competitive hockey and has
a strong background in sports conditioning and strength training
programs. In training at Harvard, he has also worked with clients
of various age groups and backgrounds, from fitness beginners to
advanced athletes, and has been exposed to a broad range of
training styles to better serve his clients. Mike is
available to train clients at Hemenway.
Ramón Gómez-Aponte is a ATI Certified
Personal Trainer who specializes in Pilates and TRX training. He is
currently working towards the NSCA Personal Training Certification.
He holds certifications in Pilates Mat + Apparatus from Power
Pilates and is a Certified TRX trainer. Ramon's an avid backpacker,
rock climber and kayaker. He is available for private
Pilates, TRX training sessions and personal training sessions at
Hemenway.
Liz Hamp is the
Fitness Program Manager at Hemenway Gymnasium. She holds a BS in
Exercise Physiology and an MS Health Promotion. Liz is a certified
personal trainer through NASM and enjoys working with clients of
all ages to create fun, effective workouts for busy people. She
especially loves first time and returning exercisers. In
addition to Personal Training, Liz is a certified group exercise
instructor through AFAA, Schwinn Cycling, and Zumba. With over 18
years of experience in the field of fitness, Liz understands how to
get the best out of her clients in order for them to be and feel
successful.
Cristina Hoff is a certified private
pilates trainer. In the past ten years she has obtained numerous
fitness certifications including the STOTT Pilates Mat
Certification, AFFA Personal Training and ACE Group Exercise. She
also holds numerous specialty certifications including ZUMBA, Body
Bar, Balletone and Sports Nutrition among others. With over twenty
years of dance experience Cristina danced professionally for the
WNBA CT Sun, AHL Hartford Wolfpack and coached the Nationally
Ranked Harvard Crimson Dance Team for two years. Cristina
holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Dance.

Nicole Pizzi is the Assistant Fitness Program
Manager at Hemenway Gymnasium. She has a Master’s degree in
Public Health and a Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Food
Sciences. Nicole is certified in both Group Exercise and Personal
Training through AFAA and has many additional certifications
including Metabolic Effect Indoor Group, TRX, etc. Her focus is on
training for fat loss, interval training and general fitness. She
has contributed to various health and fitness journals including
IDEA Health and Fitness and Details Magazine.
As the Area Fitness Program Manager at Harvard University and
Harvard Law School, Dawn Stenis is
responsible for the recreational programming for the 30,000+
members of the Harvard Community. She also oversees and
educates more than 70 Instructors and personal trainers at the
two facilities. Dawn has been in the fitness industry for
over 10 years, and formerly owned a health club in Northern
Michigan. She earned a Bachelor's Degree majoring in
Kinesiology and is currently an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and
Aerobics Instructor, and holds many specialty certificates.
Dawn is a Master Trainer for Schwinn® Indoor Cycling, BOSU, and
Gliding and is also a faculty member of Sunshine Fitness Resources.

Meg Steffey Schrier, MS, RD, CPT. Meg has a BS in
exercise science from Skidmore College and a MS in Nutrition
& Health Promotion from Simmons College. In 2012 Meg completed
her dietetic internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a
Harvard teaching hospital, and became a Registered
Dietitian. Meg is a NASM certified personal trainer,Schwinn
Indoor Cycling certified, and a SCW Group Fitness instructor. In
her spare time, Meg blogs at www.megsfoodreality.com about
life as an RD, gluten free cook, personal trainer . She has over 6
years of experience training clients as well as helping people
attain a healthier lifestyle through food and exercise. Meg
is NOT taking on new clients.
Brian Smith is a part-time personal trainer and
group exercise instructor at Hemenway Gymnasium and the Malkin
Athletic Center. He holds a Bachelors of Science in
Kinesiology from Washington State University and is a Doctor of
Physical Therapy intern, graduated from Western University of
Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He is currently finishing his
final clinical internship in the Boston area. He is a NSCA
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, certified in TRX
Training and Schwinn Indoor Cycling. Brian specializes in
rehabilitation, athletic performance enhancement, injury
prevention, and all other types of fitness-related goals.
Brian has a variety of experience working with many different age
groups and conditions including orthopedic, neurological, or
cardiopulmonary. He is currently accepting new
clients at Hemenway or the MAC.
Eamon Washburn is a part time personal trainer at the
MAC. He is a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts at
Amherst and is a certified personal trainer through the American
College of Sports Medicine(ACSM). He has a strong athletic
background in soccer, track and field and is especially interested
in strength training and body building. His clients' goals
include fat loss, body sculpting, muscle building, and general
fitness. Eamon is available to train clients at the
MAC.
