Yoga for Pain and Injury
Relief: Are you tired of back pain and aching
joints, or recovering from an injury? Learn how to bring fresh
oxygen, blood, and nerve energy into your painful areas
while you release tensions from the body that may
be keeping you from performing at your fullest. In this 8 week
class we will learn how to access and relax hardened muscles that
have been used to stabilize any injury or imbalance through the
body. Yoga can reduce your body's tension in reaction to pain or
injury, and provide an opportunity to "move through" the pain
instead of resisting it. We will strengthen the body through
standing poses; open the hips, shoulders, and back, use breathing
exercises, meditation training, and relaxation to help release
unnecessary tension in the body. Dates: Thursdays, February
16th-April 12th NO CLASS March 15th 4-4:55pm INSTRUCTOR: Sarah
